Position requires Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Chemistry or related field and 3 years of industry experience performing process development for nucleic acid therapeutics.br br The position also requires 3 years of experience in the following skills, which may be gained concurrentlybr br Performing oligonucleotide synthesis, deprotection, and purification utilizing KTA line of synthesizers Oligopilot and purifiers and utilizing analytical techniques such as mass spectrometry LCMS and ultraperformance liquid chromatography UPLC in characterization of oligonucleotides.br Performing high throughput oligonucleotide synthesis using high throughput oligo synthesizer such as Gene Design.br Conducting solid phase synthesis of stereopure oligonucleotides including AKTA oligopilot 100 and Gene Design synthesizer.br Performing method writing using UNICORN software for AKTA synthesizer and AKTA purification system.br Conducting synthesis employing knowledge of nucleoside and phosphoramidite chemistry and performing multistep organic synthesis and reaction methodology development.br Performing conjugation chemistry of oligonucleotides by applying bioconjugation methods and click chemistry.br Performing desalting of oligonucleotides employing Ultrafiltrationdiafiltration UFDF and size exclusion chromatography SEC techniques.br Operating and maintenance of a variety of UPLC, LCMS instrumentation including Thermo fishers LTQ, Waters SQD and QTOF, Gel electrophoresis.br Utilizing software such as Chemdraw, Empower pro, Masslynx, and Promass for oligonucleotide mass deconvolution and characterization.br Performing Endotoxin assay tests of synthesized and purified oligonucleotides using EndoScanV.br Conducting data interpretation using NMR, HPLC, LCMS, UVVis.br Utilizing Hamilton liquid handler for high throughput screening.
