A Juris Doctorate J.D. degree or a Masters of Law LLM from an accredited law school; a New York law license or alternatively, eligibility to obtain a New York law license within 12 months of hire; at least 5 years of relevant experience as an attorney working within the mergers acquisitions practice of a law firm working on large transactions on behalf of highly sophisticated clientele. The candidate must be able to transact deals in Portuguese including drafting and negotiating legal documents. Relevant experience must have includedbr br a advising public and private companies, private equity funds and investors in merger acquisition transactions in Latin America, with focus on the Brazilian market;br b advising public and private companies on public and private offerings of equity and debt securities in Latin America, with focus on the Brazilian market;br c directly negotiating on behalf of clients as lead attorney on mergers acquisitions and securities related matters.br Applicants with any suitable combination of education, experience, or training are acceptable.br Beneficiary fulfilled each requirement herein, as reflected in Section K.
