Requires Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field and followed by 5 years of progressive experience in software development and testing. Experience therein to include 3 years with programming in Scala, Java or Python; 2 years in development and automated testing in a CICD environment including GITJenkins and pipeline automation, developing and testing realtime dataprocessing and analytics application system, SQL development on database or BIDW, API development and testing using Web Services; and 2 years using Hive, Spark, HBase, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, Flume, Oozie, MapReduce, and Shell scripting. May work from home within commuting distance to Verizons office in Irving, TX.
