Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy, or related field or foreign equivalent; at least one academic year 9 months of experience teaching undergraduate physics or astronomy courses, including PERinformed Physics Education Research pedagogies. Although not required for selection, additional preference was accorded to candidates whose experience included curriculum development and assessment, evidencebased application of learning theory, or use of classroom technologies. Finalists were required to successfully complete the interview process which can include a teaching demonstration and a research seminar.
