In H.4 and H.4B above, the education requirement is a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering or related.br br In H.10B above, the experience requirement is five 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering.br br In H.8A and H.8C above, the employer will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Engineering or related and three 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering in lieu of a Bachelors degree or equivalent and five 5 years of progressive experience as described above.br br Special Requirements Work experience to include Finite element analysis FEA or continuum mechanics; Experience with heat transfer, vibrations, controls, or fluid dynamics; Applied Solid Mechanics including elasticity, plasticity, bending, stress, strain, or damage of mechanical systems; NASTRAN, OPTISTRUCT, ABAQUS, or LSDYNA software; Design Life, FE Safe fatigue, or Vibration based fatigue software; Experience running linear and nonlinear static, dynamic, modal, or frequency based analysis using implicit solvers; Experience with correlating simulation results with physical test results; Experience interpreting and communicating analytical results to management; and Experience with metal and composite structures. Successful completion of reference checks and background checks is required.br br Special requirements defined at H.14 not to be conflated with H.8C andor H.10A. There is no timing requirement associated with the special requirements defined at H.14, unless specifically stated otherwise.br br Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
