In H.4 and H.4B above, the education requirement is a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related.br br In H.10B above, the experience requirement is two 2 years of experience in design or engineering within the automotive industry.br br In H.8A and H.8C above, the employer will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related and six 6 months of experience in design or engineering within the automotive industry in lieu of a Bachelors degree or equivalent and two 2 years of experience as described above. NOTE Employer entered 0 years in box 8.C rather than 6 months per the DOL FAQ. Employer will accept pre or post degree experience gained through academic internship, or work experience.br br Special Requirements Academic background, internship or work experience to include CAD software including Catia V5, or Catia V6; DFSS methodologies; Experience following the design process from initial concept stages through tooling release and production launch; Experience managing suppliers for product development; Experience overcoming design challenges for variety of materials and processes including stamping, injection molding, casting, or composites; Experience designing kinematics, mechanisms, or electromechanical components; DFMEAs or DVPRs; and Project management. Successful completion of reference checks and background checks is required.br br Special requirements defined at H.14 not to be conflated with H.8C andor H.10A. There is no timing requirement associated with the special requirements defined at H.14, unless specifically stated otherwise.br br Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
