Applicants with any suitable combination of education, training or experience are considered acceptable. Suitable education, training or experience must include a bachelors degree in civil engineering, followed by minimum two years of experience in the position offered or two years of civil engineering experience in the production of detailed engineering designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, structural drawings, models, construction documents, static and dynamic FEA, quantity takeoffs and cost estimating for transportation facilities, stations and buildings, and for underground concrete structures using working stress design methods. Required experience must include utilization of ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, Tedds, RISA and Mathcad. Professional Engineer license for Virginia also is required.
