Bachelors degree or foreign education equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering plus six 6 years of experience performing CAECFD driven mechanical device product development, including designing for performance and manufacturing from concept to launch or, alternatively, a Masters degree or foreign education equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering plus four 4 years of experience performing CAECFD driven mechanical device product development, including designing for performance and manufacturing from concept to launch. Specific skillsother requirements Must also possess the following quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section Experience using Ansys Fluent software to solve problems, including multiple reference frame analysis; steady state and Transient flow analysis; thermal flow analysis; microfluidic flow analysis; VOF models; multiple phase mixture flow analysis; DEM and DPM modeling skills; and modeling simulations in both Lagrangian and Eulerian phase; Experience performing CFD volume extraction and meshing, boundary layer meshing, and geometry cleanup and input deck creation for Ansys fluent and Star CCM using Hyper work; Experience using Star CCM for CFD simulations; and, Experience performing design optimization using statistical techniques, such as MonteCarlo simulation and analytics algorithms. 10 travel if not commutable to Kalamazoo, MI. This position can be performed remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
