SingleStore, Inc. provides a cloudnative operational database for operational analytics and artificial intelligence and machine learning powered applications. This position is not entrylevel but an integral part of developing database engine features based on customer requests to ensure that customer requirements are met in a timely manner this is vital to our business of delivering and managing the fastest cloud database. She must understand and apply advanced knowledge inwith Computer Operating Systems and Architecture; Distributed System Design, Implementation, and Debugging; Algorithm Design and Analysis; Database Management Systems; Parallel Computer Design and Programming; and Analytic Stochastic Modeling to do so. To develop function, performance, and stress tests for the database engine, she must understand Database Management Systems. She needs this same knowledge as well as advanced knowledge of Algorithm Design and Analysis to work on distributed system algorithms and problemscomponents of the core database engine. To implement algorithms and data structures to optimize SQL Structured Query Language queries to enhance database performance, she must apply advanced knowledge in Parallel Computer Design and Programming. She must further employ advanced knowledge in Distributed System Design, Implementation, and Debugging to enable multiple query shapes for unique constraints on tables in columnar data format, support secondary indexes on multiple columns and unique constraints on a set of columns. She must use this knowledge to also take part in code reviews and design reviews for the purpose of software quality assurance. She must utilize advanced knowledge of Computer Operating Systems and Architecture to work on a variety of features related to the Universal Storage projects. Such advanced knowledge in all of these areas that are required for this role can only be gained through at least a Masters degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related. The educational and advanced knowledge requirements bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation in the context of our business and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner. As our business involves complex stateoftheart artificial intelligence, a lower degree e.g., a Bachelors degree or Associates degree in the same field does not provide the theoretical and advanced knowledge required to be able to contribute to our unique and industryshaping technologies. Likewise, experience instead of an advanced degree would not provide the level of theoretical and advanced knowledge required for this position.
