Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related degree foreign equivalent accepted 1 year of frontend engineering work experience in the same or related occupation e.g., QA Analyst or similar, which must include 6 months of experiencebr br In JavaScript and React or similarbr Working on a team to build and ship largescale applications to productionbr With front end unit testing, continuous integration, and gitbr Using web accessibility techniquesbr With API design and best practicesbr br The Beneficiary qualifies because they earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University in 2020. He also completed undergraduate studies the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Engineering, which Shipt accepts as a reasonably related degree.br br The Beneficiary also has the required 1 year of work experience because he worked as a Research Assistant at Oregon State University, where he implemented and evaluated machine learning algorithms and neural networks for performance improvement opportunities and leveraged artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms; at Shipt, Inc. as a QA Analyst under the companys STEM OPT Training Plan, which was fulltime employment from July 2020 to February 2021 and then as a QA Analyst from February 8, 2021 to June 2022, where he developed a thorough understanding of Shipts test application development and participated in some software development and design process. Both the IT Specialist and QA Analyst positions were materially different from the proffered Software Engineer position.br br During the above employment, the Beneficiary received the other special requirements in front end engineering, including JavaScript and React or similar technology, web accessibility techniques, and API design and best practices.br br As to J8, please note that at the time of submission, Beneficiary is currently outside of the U.S. but is expected to return in H1B status per Employers approved H1B petition. As a result, no admission classification has been selected.
