Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience. Also requires 5 years of experience or 2 years with Masters in the following CAD user ProECreo or SolidWorks to design products and assemblies; prototype development in plastic and metal including using basic machine shop tools and 3 D printing; and electronics analogdigital, test equipment, and components common in small appliances including at least two of sensors, motors, heaters, and electronics. Also requires knowledge of production processes including either injection molding or sheetmetal forming and prototyping techniques including 3D printing and laser cutting. Requires 35 international trips per year to China and London estimated at 12 weeks per trip. Occasional telecommuting is permitted as determined by the employer.
