Experience must include 1 year of experience in technical regulatory affairs of Consumer Product Safety, EMC, Radio, Energy Efficiency compliance; 2 years of experience in technology Industry Manufacturer project management, including RD procedure through production; and 1 year of experience in cross regioncountries project management. Must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese.br br BUSINESS NECESSITY FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT br br As a member of the SGS Electrical and Electronics EE business unit, the ITA Technical Specialist provides global EE Technical Regulation compliance support to clients and establishes an international certification plan proposal for them, addressing productspecific requirements to comply with electrical Safety and Electromagnetic compatibility EMC, Radio frequency RF requirements in worldwide countries in which then product will be marketed and sold. Approximately 50 of the Employers clients to which the ITA Technical Specialist is assigned are located in China and Taiwan. In this regard, the Employers affiliates in China and Taiwan SGS China and SGS Taiwan have a particular expertise in providing such compliance support and establishing certification plans. As such, the ITA Technical Specialist will spend 45 of daytoday duties reading and writing in Mandarin and 5 speaking in Mandarin in meetings and during project troubleshooting tasks with colleagues employed by SGS China or SGS Taiwan. Such communication is in Mandarinthe native language of the colleagues located in China and Taiwan. The ITA Technical Specialist must work closely with the SGS China or SGS Taiwan ITA EE units to have their support on project submissions to local agents or certification bodies for the applicable country after all required documentation application forms is collected from the U.S. client of the Employer. The ITA Technical Specialist works to help clients understand the process and the documentation requirements of country approvals or incountry testing. Once all the documentation is ready, the ITA Technical Specialist must be able to explain the background and technical information that are summarized from discussions with a U.S. client, to SGS China or SGS Taiwan colleagues in Mandarin in order to ensure accurate submission of documents and to answer questions from the certification body or local agent. The ITA Technical Specialist must be able to clearly translate from Mandarin to English any questions or inquiries from SGS China or SGS Taiwan colleagues to English speaking clients. If a client cannot modify documents or update the test reports to the reviewers requirements, the ITA Technical Specialist must discuss with the SGS China or SGS Taiwan team in Mandarin to seek the best solution to support the client in order to obtain the requested certification.
