Employers mother care recipient lived in China all her life until moving to the US in 2014 at the age of 69. She only understands Mandarin Chinese language. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer dementia and cannot function on her own. She has no capability to perform daily personal task, nor has the capability to make any personal, financial, or medical decisions.br Therefore, specific skills and requirements for the caregiver includebr br 1 MUST be fluent in speaking and writing in Mandarin Chinese.br 2 Have lots of empathy and patience to alleviate frustration and anxiety caused by the care recipients dementia.br 3 Have observation skills to notice any health changes or issues, such as rashes, impaired vision, hearing loss, infections, etc.br 4 Have strong communication skills to communicate with care recipient, medical professionals, and family members.br 5 Have a flexible schedule and adaptability skills to respond to possible emergencies throughout the week such as falling, spilling food, infections, and allergic reactions.br 6 Display a positive attitude to provide care recipient with positive experiences.br 7 Must be caring and loving enough to make extra effort to plan and arrange mentally stimulating trips for cultural experience, such as visiting the zoo, gardens, and museums, etc.
