The Project Engineer IIIAutomation will be based out of the companys Houston field office located at 5850 Rogerdale Road Suite 150, Houston, Texas 77072. However, because SEL has numerous customers nationwide, some travel is required, as the incumbent will occasionally and on a shortterm basis be deployed to various customer sites. Candidates must therefore be willing to travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States on an ongoing basis.br br Candidates must possess, at minimum, a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related as well as 48 months of fulltime, progressively responsible, postBaccalaureate, professional work experience as an Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related occupation. Of the 48 months of required work experience, all 48 months must have been spent servicing utility and industrial customers. All candidates must also possess knowledge, as evidenced by passing a basic technical proficiency test, of all four of the following subject matter areas 1 utility and industrial automation system practices, automation applications, and associated protocols; 2 SCADA system theory, design, and operation including common data types, HMI, and PLC; 3 networking, telemetry, and cybersecurity for wide area and local area operation technology; and 4 program, operation, use, and analysis of data collection devices and automation processors, port servers, gateways, and firewalls. Note All candidates for all engineering positions at the company must pass a basic technical proficiency test. Candidates must also be willing to comply with the companys DrugFree and TobaccoFree policies.
