Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree in Chemistry, or a closely related field, plus two years of experience developing various detailed formulations and delivery system technologies. Must include 2 years of experience with each of the following 1 utilize analytical techniques, including gas chromatography GC or highperformance liquid chromatography HPLC for product characterization; 2 develop design of experiments and conduct statistical analysis to evaluate the performance attributes of aerosol, lotions, liquids, and gel products; 3 solve technical problems related to formulation systems and manufacturing batching, mixing, and inline blending production of formulation for mass production; 4 formulation development and scale up of emulsion and surfactant based systems; 5 operate standard laboratory equipment to measure gel strength and gel point, including rheometer, viscometer, and pH meter; 6 monitor stability testing, including first production run stabilities; 7 prepare samples, document and execute microchallenge testing, toxicological testing, clinical testing, and performance testing; 8 input data requirements into a formula tracking system with accuracy and attention to support worldwide governmental regulatory registrations; 9 troubleshoot production startup of formulations to ensure product is meeting technical requirements; and, 10 develop and validate test methods for claim substantiation.
