Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus five 5 years of mechanical design engineering or related experience in designing mechanical fixtures and high voltage electrical systems using CATIA and 3D CAD.br br Experience must include two 2 years of experience working with manufacturing engineering team on product builds and with departments including supply chain, finance, program management, sales, and production.br br Specific skills Position also requires education or experience in 1 Knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of mechanical design; 2 Knowledge of CATIA V6, AutoCAD and Finite Element Analysis FEA modeling and tools; 3 Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, including sheet metal, machining, injection molding, stamping, machining and castings; 4 Knowledge of assembly processes related to riveting, welding, and fastening procedures; 5 Experience with vehicle structure design, fluid systems design, electrical systems design, mechanical systems design and suspension systems; 6 Knowledge of internal combustion engine process, heat treatment process, metal coatings and gear analysis and related calculations; and 7 Experience with instrumentation test units and ladderlogic programmingbr br Any level of knowledge, experience andor coursework in the specific skills is acceptable.
