Requires a Masters degree in Robotics or Mechanical Engineering and one year of experience as a Field Service Engineer. Experience must include a training neurosurgeons, neurologists and surgical theatrescrub staff in the use of stereotactic robotic surgical systems for a range of neurosurgical procedures such as Deep Brain Stimulation DBS for use in treating Parkinsons Disease, Stereoelectroencephalography SEEG for Epilepsy, Drug Delivery, Endoscopy and Biopsy; b conducting preinstallation evaluation of surgical sites, working with customers to properly prepare surgical environments for installation; c installing and calibrating stereotactic robotic surgical systems and accompanying software; d providing preventive maintenance and ongoing training of surgical teams; e performing onsite corrective actiontroubleshooting as needed; f installing technical upgrades and maintaining device history records DHR for each installation; g providing technical support for sales marketing attending congresses, workshops, organization of surgical observations, presentations, quotes and lead generation.
