Requires a Bachelors degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field and 7 years of computational or wet laboratory experience. Must have experience with Scientific computing systems architecture, applications, data infrastructure, and software stacks Spark, HPC, Containers, SQL, NoSQL, Git; Bioinformatics development, implementation, and analysis including nextgeneration sequencing analysis, pipeline tools like Cromwell, Nextflow, AWS Batch and Step Functions; Developing and implementing software solutions in a cloud environment; AWS services including CloudFormation, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Redshift, Athena, EMR, and Batch; Knowledge of some machine learning techniques clustering, regression, decision trees, neural networks; Statistical knowledge and concepts i.e., regressions, statistical tests and their proper usage; Distributed systems Spark, Kubernetes; and Python or R.
