H.4 and H.4B Bachelors degree or equivalent in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.br br H.8A and H.8C Employer will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field in lieu of a Bachelors degree or equivalent and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience in Baseline Process Engineering to include all relevant job titles within the occupation.br br H.10A and H.10B 2 years of experience in Baseline Process Engineering to include all relevant job titles within the occupation.br br Work experience to include 1 2 years of experience or any work or handson academic experience with a Masters degree in a manufacturing or development engineering role defining design and process requirements. 2 2 years of experience or any work or handson academic experience with a Masters degree working on a process engineering project and managing the work of other engineers, technicians, or undergraduate students. 3 1 year of combined experience or any work or handson academic experience with a Masters degree working within an operation or manufacturing teams; utilizing six sigma methodologies; handling high temperature furnace or processing; developing and tooling to deliver results on time and within budget; and working in multifunctional teams delivering breakthrough process improvements.br br Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.br br Employer requires background checks.br br I.26 and I.26A QuantumScape Battery, Inc. experienced a layoff on February 15, 2023, within six months immediately proceeding the filing of the instant PERM application. As a result, the employer reviewed its records to ensure it identified and notified any potentially qualified U.S. workers impacted by the reduction in force. Following regulatory and BALCA guidance, the employer considered U.S. workers to be potentially qualified if they were employed in the area of intended employment, in a related occupation, and held or could possibly hold the minimum requirements, or could gain the minimum qualifications through a reasonable period of onthejob training. To determine whether any potentiallyqualified U.S. workers were impacted, QuantumScape Battery, Inc. initially reviewed its employment records for job title and job location of all laid off workers, and reviewed whether any of the impacted individuals in the same or similar occupation were U.S. workers. The result of this review was that there were three impacted U.S. workers in the area of intended employment or in a related occupation, and they were found to be clearly unqualified as they lacked the minimum educational and experience requirements and numerous skills required for the position for which certification is sought.
