Requires three 3 years of experience with the following mine planning and mine design; working with geological and mining planning GMP software, such as Surpac or Carlson; working with geographical information systems GIS; working with computer assisted CAD tools; working in a professional capacity in Spanish speaking Latin American countries. Requires fluency in Spanish. Requires travel 3040 domestically to California, Arizona, Vermont, and Alabama and internationally to Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil.br br The Junior Mine Planner position is part of the Geology Mining Omyas technical support team for the Americas region. Therefore, this one has direct responsibility also over LatinAmerican sites in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Ecuador. In this Job position, Spanish is a requirement because of frequently required support and business trips to our mining sites and processing facilities in those countries. And required close daily working conditions with employees that only speak Spanish. br br To have a successful mine planning process, the Junior Mine Planner requires a thoughtful comprehension of the mining process complexity that starts from the geological model understanding, mineral resources, economic mineral reserves evaluation, and mine scheduling to a proper reclamation design. Based on those requirements, a minimum of 6 years of experience are considered necessary in this type of technical analysis.
