Experience must have included at least 2 yrs. in each of the following Use of Ruby Programming Language, including experience with meta programming, advanced object modeling, and objectoriented programming; Use of Ruby on Rails, including work with Rails internals, serviceoriented architectures under Rails, Arel, use of ActiveRecord all relation types, live loading of HTML with Turbolinks; Perform minor and major version upgrades of a Rails application; Working on Rails primarily developing code for applications of significant size more than 1000 classes and 100 models; Building and maintaining Ruby Gems related to infrastructure management; Use of the Google Looker Business Intelligence platform, including LookML models, Views, Persistent Derived Tables PDTs, and use of the Looker embedding APIs for embedding Looker reports in a Rails application; Working with the RSpec testing framework to include feature, request and unit test strategies; extending the RSpec framework through helpers, third party gems, and advanced configuration; Use of SQL as it relates to query optimization, use of advanced features including windowing functions, index optimizations on Redshift and Postgres; Use of JavaScript application frameworks such as React; and Use of SaaS, HAML, and Bootstrap frontend frameworks.br br Duties continued from PERM duties in H11 due to character limits.br br Supervise developers implementing software in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Bootstrap, SaaSHAML. Provide detailed code reviews including application of objectoriented programming principles, data modeling, and use and overuse of Meta programming. Work with product managers, write technical specifications and mentor junior developers on implementation details and document best practices in the developer WIki. Represent application engineering to the management team. Explain software application architecture and data architecture. Describe capabilities and extensibility of our RubyRailsLookerJavaScriptReact tools. Monitor operational factors of the AWS Infrastructure using CloudWatch, ECS Console, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, AWS Lambda technology, Honeybadger exception management tool, and data pipeline from AWS ECS to the Mezmo NLPbased log management platform. As a senior member of technical staff, implement key application features. Features to be implemented with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript React, Bootstrap, SaaSHAML and implement data aspects of the project with Postgres and Redshift SQL, Arel, ActiveRecord, Looker embedding, LookML views, models. Plan and participate in technical work to upgrade Ruby on Rails major and minor versions and ensure that the RSpec test suite has appropriate coverage in order that upgrades will not interrupt normal system operations and that RSpec test suite is extended and passes for any upgrade candidates. Monitor AWS ECS cloud hosting operational parameters and optimizeupgrade as needed. Adopt newer AWS technologies, including AWS GuardDuty threat detection system. Provide customers or installation teams guidelines for implementing secure systems.
