Must have a Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in Geomatics Engineering, Geodetic Science or a related field. This position also requires demonstrated knowledge and experience with 1 GIS software; 2 advanced Cartography, Geodesy and Land Surveying concepts; 3 database design and management principles; 4 Spatial Data Infrastructure standards; 5 drafting, design and geospatial data interpretation; 6 VETRO FiberMap; 7 Google MapsEarth; 8 AutoCAD; 9 ESRI; 10 QGIS; and 11 creating preliminary and detailed designs for fiber optic networks. Remote work from the Virginia Beach, Virginia geographic area is permitted.
