Qualifications Earned doctorate in Kinesiology, or a related field by August 2021. Candidates must provide evidence of scholarly activity that demonstrates a strong potential for publications in top tier peerreviewed journals, competence in teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in their area of expertise, seeking external funding for scholarly activities, and involvement in service to the University and the profession.br br Preferred candidates will have postdoctoral experience and evidence of the ability to compete for extramural funding. Preferred candidates will have a research focus on how physical inactivity contributes to health and disease. Ideal candidates will have a track record in studying acute responses andor chronic adaptations to exercise, which leads to enhanced physiologicalmetaboliccardiopulmonary performance. Strong consideration will be given to applicants whose work centers on adipose tissue andor skeletal muscle biology in aging andor chronic disease and a level of expertise that enhances our research teams ability to expand our external funding.br br Dr. Allaway has an extensive scholarly publication record. She has taught on a breadth of topics from general physiology and comparative anatomy to reproductive physiology, exercise physiology, and spaceflight physiology; she has successfully competed for multiple fellowship and grants for scholarly activity.
