Scholars conducting social science research using quantitative, qualitative, andor mixed methods.br br Dr. Zhou had and continues an active research program, including nine publications, which is commensurate with a Comprehensive Doctoral University. Her excellence in teaching was documented by student evaluations from her work as a graduate teaching assistant.br br Dr. Zhous research in health communication, supportive communication, and emotion built on departmental strengths. Her experience as a graduate research assistant and as the advisee of a professor with extensive work with grants gave her experience with extramural funding. Recommendations, a personal statement, and teacher evaluations documented her ability to contribute to a multicultural setting. She is a social scientist whose work in health communication meets expectations. Finally, Dr. Zhou is an expert methodologist who had conducted both quantitative and mixedmethod research.
