Improve and maintain the PDG software infrastructure, including all webbased applications, the programs and the PDG database. Adapt PDG software when requirements evolve.br Develop new web applications or smartphone apps and enhance existing ones with the goal to make the work of PDG as efficient as possible and to provide the most useful interfaces tobr PDG data for PDGs wide range of users. Work on algorithms for evaluating particle physics data and for producing the Review of Particle Physics, including technical oversight of Java andbr Python code development. Support collaborators and users of the PDG computing system at a geographically and scientifically diverse set of collaborating institutions. Maintain andbr improve the PDG software documentation. Prioritize work as needed to best support the ongoing PDG work.br Employer will accept a PhD degree in Physic, Particle Physics, Cosmology, or related technical field and 12 months of experience in job offered or a related technical occupation.br Experience may be gained concurrently and must include the followingbr 1. Particle physics and statistical methods;br 2. Greek symbols, math and formulae, and figures and tables typesetting using TeX or LaTeX publishing tools;br 3. Developing and managing Java and Python based software and web applications using software development and versioning tools;br 4. Relational databases; andbr 5. Programing languages including Java, JavaScript, Python and SQL.
