15 years of experience working in a supervisory quality control role in the lumber products industry in an organization with capacity of at least 550 million board feet of lumber annually. This experience must include 10 years of experience in each of the followingbr 1. Managing and overseeing the sawmill, kiln and planermill quality control functions across multiple sites;br 2. Grading lumber as a Qualified Lumber Grader in a mill or sawmill;br 3. Overseeing continuous improvement activities relating to quality control, optimization software and technology, and simulations;br 4. Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards, including maintaining WorkSafe BC Safety Standards, leading safety committee, and maintaining and developing site safety and environmental standards;br 5. Managing and developing mill staff involved in quality control;br 6. Managing and overseeing sawmillbased optimization software and technology systems utilizing at least 5 of the following USNR, Comact, Softac, COEDeltek, Moore Dry Kilns, SCS and Wagner moisture meters, Sicam realtime size control, LSize hand held size control, and machinerybr 7. Implementing and supervising daily quality control surveys relating to sawmill, kilns, planer, and log merchandiser;br 8. Design, retrofit and startup of new sawmills, kilns and planermills; andbr 9. Using sales analytics software system to track sales and analyticsbr Experience may be gained concurrently.
