Will also accept a BS and 5 years of stated experience.br br Q.H.14 Must have passed EIT exam.br br Q.H.12 PLEASE NOTE THAT THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE SUPPORTED BY BUSINESS NECESSITY. The requirements of a Masters degree and 3 years of experience bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation of civil engineers in the context of the environmental engineering consulting industry and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner. All of our Geostructural Engineers have at least the education and experience listed in the minimum requirements, and we would not hire anyone for this position who did not possess these credentials. Specifically, the nature of this position requires someone with the ability to plan, analyze, report, prepare, and design civil engineering projects for excavation and to perform structural evaluation and assessment of slope stability, embankments and spillways. This requires the kind of advanced skills in engineering analysis, planning and design, best gained through a Masterslevel program where students learn civil engineering planning, analysis, reporting and design techniques and strategies. Furthermore, in order to successfully implement these techniques to evaluate and assess geostructural stability, the geostructural engineer must have handson experience in the field. The employer has determined that at least a Masters degree and 3 years of experience are required, and they would not hire someone without these credentials.
