CONTD FROM H.10B Next Generation Sequencing NGS based diagnostics or research.br br Education and Experiencebr br PhD or foreign education equivalent in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Biology, or a closely related field and no experience.br br Or, alternatively, Masters degree or foreign education equivalent in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Biology, or a closely related field and three 3 years experience in the job offered or three 3 years experience in Next Generation Sequencing NGS based diagnostics or research.br br Skills and Knowledgebr br Candidate must also possessbr br Demonstrated Expertise DE acting as an individual contributor within multidisciplinary teams encompassing Molecular Biologists, Computational Biologists, Software Engineers, Project Managers, and scientific leaders to develop new or enhanced existing NGSbased diagnostic products involving new technologies or novel computational methods.br br DE interpreting biological signals from DNA sequencing data and incorporating findings into new or existing computational and statistical diagnostic methods leveraging principles of Molecular Biology and Genomics.br br DE implementing and optimizing Bioinformatics algorithms for diagnostic assays by processing, analyzing, and interpreting large volume genomics data from NGS instrumentation using Illumina technology.br br DE performing data analysis and interpretation using visualization and statistical approaches, and computational tools Python, R, and SQL.br br Expertise may be gained during doctoral program.
