Candidates must have at least a Masters degree in Education, Elementary Inclusive Education, or a related field and at least two years of professional experience working as a teacher within the field of education. Must have at least two years of experience creating lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines. Must have at least one year of experience instructing students in core subjects, including Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math. Must have at least two years of experience employing teaching methods to enhance students academic performance and socioemotional development. Must have at least two years of experience working with students individually to help them overcome learning challenges. Must possess a New York State Professional Certificate for Childhood Education. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and use of SMART Board. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
