Candidates must have at least a Masters degree in Education or a related field and at least one year of professional experience working as an instructor within the field of education. Must have at least one year of experience managing groups of 15 or more students and employing behavior management techniques. Must have at least one year of experience preparing lesson plans as well as organizing and leading activities aimed at developing the social, emotional, behavioral, communication, and leadership skills of students. Must have at least one year of experience providing individual support to students with severe behavioral issues and developmental disorders. Must have at least one year of experience leading professional development for staff regarding special education and behavioral management strategies. Must possess a New York State Professional Certificate for Early Childhood Education.
