Candidates must have at least a Juris Doctor J.D. degree, or equivalent as determined by a qualified credentials evaluation service, and at least two years of professional experience practicing transactional music law within the entertainment industry. Must have at least two years of experience handling and advising on legal issues related to recorded music including film and television music within traditional and digital music formats. Must have at least two years of experience drafting and negotiating complex recorded music agreements, including artist services agreements, licensesynchronization agreements, management agreements, mixer agreements, producer agreements, and side artist agreements. Must have at least two years of experience completing music clearances, including clearing music for catalog purchases and sales, and resolving legal issues related to intellectual property. Must have at least two years of experience collaborating internationally with crossfunctional teams to implement music agreements and manage the daytoday business affairs of artists. Must be admitted to practice law in New York state. Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
