PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE TWO ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITIONbr br Bachelors degree or foreign degree equivalent in chemistry, material science, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering or related plus seven 7 years of experience with UV and thermal polymerization research.br br Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree or foreign degree equivalent in chemistry, material science, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering or related plus five 5 years of experience with UV and thermal polymerization, orbr br a PhD degree or foreign degree equivalent in chemistry, material science, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field plus two 2 years of academic or commercial experience with UV and thermal polymerization.br br Employer will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.br br For both Primary and Alternative requirements, experience or PhD work must includebr 1. Proven track record of solving complex problems and driving progress in the field of chemistry and materials science.br 2. Academic or commercial experience with baking multicomponent polymeric materials containing both polymers and small molecules.br 3. Designing and executing experimental plans to test how bake parameters influence the variability in material properties.br 4. Academic or commercial expertise in proper chemical handling and processing protocols, including ingredients, mixing times, and operating temperatures using potentially hazardous chemicals.br 5. Academic or commercial experience synthesizing polymers from solutions, compounds, and reagents utilizing common laboratory procedures.br 6. Academic or commercial experience characterizing materials by dimensional accuracy using micrometers and optical scanners.br 7. Academic or commercial experience measuring mechanical properties and extractable content leachables using instrumentation such as Instron, GCMS, DMA, and TGA.br 8. Academic or commercial experience summarizing related research and writing technical reports that detail methods and findings.br 9.
