Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field plus seven 7 years of substation engineering experience. Must have 5 years of experience in creating design deliverables in the form of drawings, reports. Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following Independent physical substation design including yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary ACDC power systems, and associated bills of material; Independent protection and control design including panel arrangements, onelinessingle lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, SCADA system design, equipment wiring and relay panel wiring, voltage drop calculations, ACDC load studies, cable, and breaker sizing; Performing quality reviews for other engineers and designers; and, Utilizing the National Electric Safety Code and IEEE ANSI Standards for substation design. Must have 2 years of experience in utilizing pdf markup software e.g., Bluebeam Revu. Alternatively, the employer will also accept a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field plus six 6 years of substation engineering experience in lieu of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field plus seven 7 years of substation engineering experience. Travel required 15 of the time. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
