Reports behavioral incidents i.e., fights, abuse, etc. for the purpose of maintaining personal safety of students, providing a positive learning environment, and adhering to Educational Code, district and school policies. Possesses ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written directions. Provides instruction to students with special needs in accordance with I.E.P.504 Plans utilizing support services as appropriate and active participation in I.E.P.504 meetings when appropriate. Skills to motivate students in one or more areas and to communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds. Knowledge of California Standards for the Teaching Professional CSTP, curriculum and Education Code.
