Bachelors B.S. degree in Geography with a geographic information systems emphasis, or related degree. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. One year experience as a GIS Analyst. One year experience as a GIS Analyst to include experience utilizing GIS in project design, project management, consulting, research, or training. Demonstrable ability using GIS software, evidencing proficiency using ArcGIS Desktop and QGIS. Demonstrable ability to perform digital image processing using industrystandard geospatial software, evidencing proficiency using ArcGIS Pro Image Analyst and ENVI. Demonstrable knowledge of and ability to use Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS hardware, software, and techniques. Demonstrable ability using geospatial data sources to support teaching and research. Demonstrable ability using statistical methods, processes, and software to prepare data for use in GIS. Demonstrable ability to develop and deliver instructional content related to geospatial analysis. Demonstrable ability to publish and share data and maps using ArcGIS Online, Portal and Enterprise, and to the web directly. Demonstrable ability in design and management of geodatabases.
