Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field by start date; open to all areas of Statistics and Biostatisics and closely related fields, with focus on interdisciplinary and datadriven research topics. Expertise in one or more of the following research areas in statistics computational statistics, spatiotemporal statistics, environmental and epidemiological statistics, multilevel and hierarchical models, medical imaging, disease modeling and forecasting, precision and personalized medicine statistics, and statistical learning. Strong knowledge and interests in applications to many disciplines of science, including geoscience, engineering, business, economics, biology, bioinformatics, medicine, health science, epidemiology, environment, education, government policy, andor sociology. Concrete evidence and plan that demonstrate EPIC criteria. Strong record of or demonstrated potential for research and teaching excellence. Wellarticulated plan of contributing to our programs that increase the success of students and faculty in the department and the university. Strong desire to broaden the departments outreach activities, including a proposed mathematical and statistical consulting center.
