Minimum Requirementsbr Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry or a directly related field and 5 years of industry exp. in the job offered or a Scientistrelated occupation in Batch process development and Flow Chemistry or Continuous Processing.br br In the alternative, the employer will accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry or a directly related field that includes completion of a research thesis and 3 years of industry exp. in the job offered or a Scientistrelated occupation in Batch process development and Flow Chemistry or Continuous Processing.br br Experience must includebr br 1 year of exp. with each of the followingbr Using at least 1 of the following computational techniques statistical analysis; cost of goods analysis; or process modeling.br Authoring or coauthoring technical documents including at least 1 of the following publication manuscripts; process laboratory directions; technical reports; or technical presentations.br Using at least 2 of the following software packages in a laboratory setting HPLC software platform; ChemDraw or similar chemistry drawing tool; or an electronic notebook platform.br br 2 years of exp. with each of the followingbr Using analytical techniques for process characterization including NMR; and GC or HPLC.br Reviewing technical and manufacturing documents including at least 2 of the following manufacturing instructions or batch records; process deviations; or process development reports.br br 3 years of exp. with each of the followingbr Executing Flow Chemistry or Continuous Processing experiments using a variety of equipment types including at least 2 of the following PFR; CSTR; packedbed reactors; microreactors; spinning disk reactors; photoreactors; or phase separation equipment.br Designing and executing multistep organic chemistry laboratory experiments including reaction and isolation methods using batch or flow reactors.br Executing, collecting, and analyzing data rich experiments acquired from the use of laboratory reactors equipped with data acquisition and control features.br br Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
