Position requires a high school diploma, or foreign equivalent, plus 1 year of experience in the job offered, or as a Head of Diagnostic Station, or similar automotive service position. Specific experience must include scheduling and administering fleet maintenance; diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle problems; performing standard component inspections and repairs; identifying root cause of basic failures and performing repairs as required; working with auto mechanic#x19;s specialized tools including screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, precision instruments, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists; inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition; and performing routine maintenance including changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the state.
