Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus one year of risk analysis experience. Must have at least one year of experience in each of the following 1. Populating Actuarial Value models to evaluate the value of health and benefits plans; 2. Performing underwriting pricing on health plans and providing advice on healthcare budgets for future years; 3. Running a Reserve IBNP model using claims experience to estimate the amount of reserve needed; 4. Creating periodic monthly or quarterly reports to track healthcare spending against budgets; 5. Calculating actuarial reserves; 6. Conducting employee contribution rate development and scenario analysis; 7. Analyzing insured plan renewals for appropriateness and carrier bid financial evaluations; and 8. Performing healthcare budget ratesetting for selfinsured plans including the analysis of medical and prescription drug network changes. Must have passed at least two SOA or CAS actuarial exams. Tuition reimbursement available for actuarial exams and related training, as indicated on all PERM advertisements and notices. As indicated in J.22, the employer paid for the aliens actuarial exams and related training.
