Requirements Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Physics, or a related field and 3 years of work of experience as a Chemical Engineer, Systems Analyst, or a related occupation.br br Experience must include 1. Sensor development including operation, sensorgas chemistry, physics and hardware, including metaloxide, amperometric and optical; 2. Laboratory testing and characterization to test sensors using test apparatus, dosing fixtures, and data acquisition hardware and software; 3. Sensor Integration into existing hardware platforms including power, data transmission, firmware, and software requirements; 4. Gas sensor operation and electronics required for control and data acquisition; 5. Digital oscilloscopes, signal generators, source meters, gas cylinder regulators, mass flow controllers and temperature controllers; 6. Data acquisition software such as LabView and programming languages for handling sensor data; 7. Operating systems Linux and Windows; 8. Programming languages include Python, C or C, and VB; 9. Sensor calibration, temperature and humidity compensation and data filtering; and 10. Sensor characterization, including signal or noise, range, and minimum detection limits.
