Requires a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineer or related engineering field and 3 years of experience in the position offered or 3 years of experience using Production Part Approval Process PPAP to validate suppliers new part mass production capabilities. Also requires 3 years of experience working with technical engineering product drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GDT and Metrology concepts. In lieu of a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated, company will also accept 5 years of experience. Requires 2 years of experience working in manufacturing processes related to Injection Molding, Aluminum Die Casting, and Steel Slitting; performing supplier risk assessment; managing multiple supplier quality tasks and projects concurrently, including supplier process capability and capacity analysis; performing quality engineering support in a manufacturing environment; implementing Six Sigma principles and 8D techniques to perform root cause analysis and improvements; and performing supplier audits to ISO manufacturing standards and Quality Control Plans. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience
