Requires a masters or foreign equivalent degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or 8 years of experience performing power electronics focused product development, design, analysis, and testing of power conversion products. Requires 5 years of experience designing motor drives including dimensioning and analyzing power semiconductor components, DC link filters, gate drive circuits, switchedmode power supplies, EMC filters, mixed analog and digital interface circuits, and magnetic components as well as applying reliability engineering methods; performing modeling and simulation of power conversion components and systems using Pspice, PSIM, and MathCAD;br using Mentor Graphics PADS schematic capture and PCB layout tools; and performing design and compliance to UL and IEC standards for motor drives safety and EMC. Also requires 2 years of experience designing functional safety requirements for motor drives. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
