Must have at least a Masters Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field, and at least 8 years of experience in the job offered or at least 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering design andor automotive industry. All stated experience must also include at least 5 years of work experience in each of the following using ABAQUS or other FEA software both linear and nonlinear, as well as implicit and explicit, approaches; using Hypermesh andor ABAQUS CAE for mesh generation and postprocessing of results; and working in teams providing technical analysis for multiple technically complex engineering projects and meeting multiple deadlines. Stated experience must also include at least 2 years of work experience in each of the following durability analysis of forged, cast and sheet metal components to determine fatigue life; weld analysis including fatigue life of spot and seam welds; computer Aided Design CAD, using e.g. CATIA; and noise, Vibration, Harshness NVH analysis. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
