This position requires a Doctor of Medicine M.D. degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited medical school plus five years of internal medicine experience. Requires a current, unrestricted South Dakota physician license. Must be Board certified in Internal Medicine. Must also have 24 months of demonstrated ability with each of the following 1 resource utilization and management, including appropriateness of services, medical necessity, quality of care, efficiency and throughput, wastefraud, and regulatory compliance; 2 variance analysis in clinical pathways including data aggregation, analysis, interpretation, and application to increase quality of care and improve financial outcomes; and 3 definition and implementation of standardized processes related to patient flows and the patient care continuum. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Locations Rapid City, SD, Spearfish, SD, Deadwood, SD, Custer, SD, and Sturgis, SD. This position requires travel to Monument Health Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Rapid City, SD; Monument Health Spearfish Hospital in Spearfish, SD; Monument Health LeadDeadwood Hospital in Deadwood, SD; Monument Health Custer Hospital in Custer, SD; Monument Health Home Hospice House in Rapid City, SD; Monument Health Sturgis Hospital in Sturgis, SD; and Monument Health Rapid City Clinic, 5th Street in Rapid City, SD. Travel to these locations is required. Fulltime work schedule is 2080 hours per year, which includes occasional nights and weekends.
