The ability to speak conversational Tagalog Filipino is NOT required. However, the ability to read andor write Tagalog Filipino is preferred but NOT required. Familiarity to the nomenclature in Filipino terms when reading or writing will be very helpful. Speaking it as in actual fluent conversation is not needed. Some recipes food ingredients or dishes are statedwritten in Filipino terminology and may not necessarily have English word equivalent. It is important for the Cook to know the correct Filipino ingredient required for the recipe to use or must not use by reading andor writing it and then to go to the inventory to identify and correctly pick andor avoid these exact items in the right quantity measurements from the inventory in order to cook a delicious Filipino dish. Even a slight error about preparing food is very critical and can be life threatening. The wrong ingredients may cause food spoilage due to serious chemical reaction, causing the food to not taste good, and worst case scenario might cause serious health safety issues such as allergies, food poisoning, illness or even cause death to our customers thereby resulting in serious damages and liability, unnecessary court litigation and that will be bad for our restaurant and food business it may cause our business to get shut down forever.
