REQUIREMENTS J.D. in Law and a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the offered position or related position.br br An undergraduate degree in a technical field that is sufficient to sit for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office bar exam is required and essential in order to assist clients with the patent prosecution portfolio development, etc. A J.D. degree is required to practice law.br br Must possess expertiseknowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertiseknowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertiseknowledge cannot be quot;quantifiedquot; by quot;time.quot; Required expertiseknowledge includesbr br Experience in small molecule development for cancer therapy with a focus on reactivating mutant tumor suppressors in cancer.br Experience in developing and analyzing xenograft tumor models for reactivation of tumor suppressors by small molecules.br Experience in purifying and analyzing crystal structures of tumor suppressor proteins.br Experience in developing CRISPRCas9 tools for knocking out mutant tumor suppressors in ovarian cancer cells.br Knowledge of yeast genetics.br Experience in developing yeast strains for analyzing DNA repair and gene expression.br Licensed by California State Bar.br br The years of experience listed in H.6 and H.10 do not apply to the required skills listed in this section.br Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
