Required Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering and 4 years of mechanical engineering experience or a masters degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering and 2 years of mechanical engineering experience. Plus 2 years of highperformance building performance design experience, including renewable and alternative energy strategies, daylighting, embodied energy, indoor environmental quality, material composition, water efficiency, life cycle assessment, and environment planning experience; 2 years of experience using load calculation software including DOE2 eQUEST or Trace; 2 years of experience in each of the following rating systems and design codes standards international code council, LEED, and ASHRAE; 2 years of experience using building information modeling BIM software REVIT MEP for building system modeling; 2 years of experience writing construction specifications including CSI Division 20 and Division 23; and, must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering FE exam or have the ability to become licensed as a professional engineer in one or more states or the District of Columbia.
