Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Systems and Control Engineering or a related field plus five 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, or a related position. Must have five 5 years of experience in the chemical process industry in each of the following Deploying Advanced Control and modern industrial control systems including Human Machine Interface HMI and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition SCADA for executing advanced control and real time optimization projects; Applying modern optimization and control theory including developing first principles and empirical process models, linear and nonlinear model predictive control, multivariate statistical modeling, and real time optimization techniques; Deploying model predictive control projects with commercial model predictive control software, including Aspen DMC, Honeywell Profit controller, and Capstone MACS; Use of chemical process principles for effective modelling, control and optimization, incorporating sound safety limits within applications; Heat and Mass balance calculations across process streams and equipment; and Interpreting process and control system design and instrumentation diagrams. 25 travel required to various and unanticipated Linde plant sites nationally and internationally.
