Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field plus three 3 years of power engineering industry experience. Requires the completion of Fundamentals of Engineering FE or EngineerInTraining EIT. Alternatively, the employer will also accept a Masters in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field plus two 2 years of power engineering industry experience. Travel required up to 15 of the time for site visits, client visits, and technical conferences. Position must have at least 2 years of experience in the following areas Develop scopes of work, conceptual designs, and execution plans. Prepare engineering cost and manhour estimates and schedules. Physical substation design including yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary ACDC power systems, and associated bills of material. Protection and control design including panel arrangements, one linessingle lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring and relay panel wiring. Prepare calculations for studies and reports grounding, lighting protection, ACDC load studies, etc.. Provide short term field support during construction. Experience with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE ANSI Standards. Experience with standard engineering techniques and procedures. Utilize AutoCAD andor MicroStation, and other analysis programs CDEGs andor WinIGS. Any suitable combination of experience of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
