In order to demonstrate a good faith recruitment effort in compliance with the PERM regulations for the Sunday newspapers for local newspapers as noted above per 20 CFR 656.17e1iiI, the employer placed classified advertisements with the following newspapers in the region because it is rural there is no Sunday newspaper in the specific area of employment The Observer Baker City Herald a newspaper with the largest circulation near the area on December 6, 2022, December 8, 2022, and December 10, 2022 in lieu of the two 2 Sunday newspaper advertisements; and Wallowa County Chieftan a local newspaper near the area on December 7, 2022. In this way, the employer used local newspaper classified ads on 4 separate days to reach potential applicants for the area of intended employment.
